Celebrating 45 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Vietnam

In celebration of the 45 year anniversary of Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic relations a number of events are held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

- March-June 2016: Denmark in Your Eyes writing contest. A contest where talented, young Vietnamese gave their view on Denmark with both a picture and an explicatory text. The winner with a scholarship to the Danish education institution Niels Brock.

- June 2016: An Vien TV station’s Danish Week. Broadcasting life in Denmark over seven days on the Vietnamese TV station An Vien.

- September 2016: Denmark-Vietnam Alumni Network. A Network established to connect current and previous Vietnamese, who is studying or has studied in Denmark. A continuation of enhancing the people-to-people links.

- October 2016: Visit from Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kristian Jensen. To celebrate 45 years relations, have meetings with political counterparts, visit components under the culture program and Danish companies. A reinforcement of the strong ties between Vietnam and Denmark.

- October 2016: Danish band Saveus at Monsoon Music Festival. Participated in the Monsoon Music Festival in Hanoi, originally inspired by Denmark’s Roskilde Festival, with Danish band Saveus.

- October 2016: Gala Performance in Hanoi Opera. Celebrated 45 the Vietnam-Denmark friendship with counterparts, close friends and colleagues with performances by Vietnamese and Danish renowned artists.

- November 2016: Danish Film Weeks. Screening eight Danish films in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, giving a glimpse of the Danish modern society and contemporary life of the Danes.

- November 2016: Danish Footprint. Outdoor activities with both business and cultural elements by participation from local authorities, Danish businesses, business partners and their families to experience Danish corporate values.

- November 2016: An Vien TV station’s Danish Week. Broadcasting life in Denmark over seven days on the Vietnamese TV station An Vien.
