How to submit your application

The applicant can submit an application for a residence and work permit in several ways.

 

  • Without prior appointment, applications for residence and work permits can be submitted at the Danish Visa Application Centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Find addresses, office hours and how to apply at the Danish Visa Application Centres here.

  • With a prior appointment applicants can submit applications at the Embassy of Denmark in Hanoi:
    Thursdays: 10:00 am - 12:00 am.
                        

  • The applicant can submit the application and supporting documents on-line via New to Denmark .The biometric data will need to be recorded no later than 14 days after the application is submitted. The applicant must bring a printout of the confirmation that the application was submitted on-line. The Danish Immigration Service/Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration will not start processing the application until they have received the biometric data.
  • The applicant or a third party on his/her behalf can submit the application by post to the Danish Immigration Service/Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration. The applicant must contact the mission within 14 days in order to have his/her biometric data recorded. The applicant must bring the original travel document and a copy of the three first pages of the application form.
  • If the applicant is residing legally in Denmark (e.g. based on another residence permit, visa, visa-free stay, or under EU regulations), the applicant can normally submit the application in Denmark at The Immigration Service/Agency for International Recruitment and Integration. The applicant should consult DIS about the procedure for the possibility for applying if the applicant is in Denmark.

PROCESSING TIME
All cases are referred to and processed by the Danish Immigration Service in Copenhagen.

Note: Your application and data will within a few days be delivered to the Danish Immigration Service/ Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration, who will make a decision in your case. The Danish Mission will later on receive the answer and contact you.

While your case is pending: You or your family or other persons including the reference in Denmark should NOT contact the Danish Mission and inquire about the status of your pending case unless it is because you have further information relating to your case. The Danish Mission will contact you either because we need further information or because we have received the decision from Danish Immigration Service/Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration regarding your application.
