Legalization of Danish documents

Make sure to have you Danish documents legalized by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen before you travel to Vietnam.

The Vietnamese authorities often require that Danish documents to be used in relation to company establishments, employment, marriage, divorce etc. have been legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish embassy in Vietnam.

Since Denmark acceded to the Apostille Convention in January 2007, Danish documents can only be legalized by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by a so called Apostille stamp.

Often the documents then have to be forwarded to the Vietnamese embassy in Copenhagen who confirms the signature from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Alternatively the Apostille stamp can be confirmed by the Danish embassy in Vietnam.

Therefore it is very important to have your documents legalized by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen before travelling to Vietnam.
