Advance voting for the danish parliament election on 24 march 2026
Submit your vote at the Danish Embassy in Hanoi by 10 March 2026 at 12:00 noon and at our Trade Office in Ho Chi Minh City by 06 March 2026 at 12:00 noon.
On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, elections will be held for the Danish Parliament Election (Folketingsvalget).
Danish citizens can now cast their postal vote at the Danish Embassy in Hanoi or at the Trade Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
All postal votes must arrive at the relevant municipalities by 8:00 AM on election day, 24 March 2026, in order to be counted.
Votes are sent to Denmark by mail. To ensure the vote arrives on time, it should be submitted by 10 March 2026 at the Danish Embassy in Hanoi and at our Trade Office in Ho Chi Minh City by 06 March 2026. Votes submitted after this deadline; will still be accepted and forwarded to relevant municipality; however, we cannot guarantee they will arrive before election day.
You are eligible to vote if:
- You are 18 years of age or older,
- You have permanent residence in Denmark.
- You are either a Danish citizen, a citizen of an EU member state, a citizen of Iceland, Norway, or the United Kingdom, or you have had continuous residence in the Kingdom of Denmark for the last 4 years leading up to election day.You can read more about voting rights for Danes living abroad on the website of the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Health.

Danish Trade Office – Ho Chi Minh City (no prior appointment required).
