Profile:

Mr Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj began his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2018 as a Commercial Advisor at the Trade Council in Sydney from 2018 to 2020, where he played a crucial role in strengthening bilateral trade relations and assisting businesses with market development entry strategies.
In 2020 he returned to Copenhagen to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an Economic Diplomacy Adviser, where he worked as part of an export and job creation task force during Covid-19 as well cross cutting strategy and policy work and among other things drafted the Action Plan for Danish Government’s new approach to economic diplomacy and trade promotion 2022-2023.  
In 2022, he was appointed Chief Adviser and Global Sector Advisory Team Leader of the Food and Agriculture sector, where he was the primary headquarter anchor on economic diplomacy, strategy and policy within the sector.


As of 2024 Lasse is the Commercial Counsellor and the Head of Economic Diplomacy and Trade in Vietnam, Hanoi. In his role he aspires to enhance trade relations between Denmark and Vietnam, facilitating business opportunities and economic cooperation. With his comprehensive experience and vision he will ensure that Denmark's commercial interest are effectively represented and advanced in Vietnam

Ms Tran Thi Tuyen Mai joined Embassy of Denmark, Economic and Commercial Office in HCMC (DECO) in September 2017 as Head of DECO and Trade and Investment Advisor. With extensive experience and knowledge in both private and public sectors in Vietnam, Mai has engaged in providing services for market entry strategies, industry analysis, opportunity identification and marketing campaigns for a number of Danish companies.
Prior to joining DECO, Mai had been Head of Investment section at UK’s Department for International Trade, British Embassy Vietnam and for many years working in private sector with companies in Telecommunication, Real Estate and Utilities.

Lan joined the Commercial section in 2011 after working in a similar position at Embassy of Netherlands in Vietnam for a couple of years. She has actively worked with Danish companies extensively across quite a number of industries. Her focus area of work comprises of supporting and assisting Danish healthcare, garment, oil & gas, logistics and shipping companies in entering as well as expanding their presence in Vietnam. She has developed and maintained a close network to authorities, associations and businesses in these relevant sectors.

Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Hang has over 14 years of practical experience working in the area of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, intellectual property and education which equip her with a deep understanding of the sectors as well as building up a wide network all over the country. Prior to joining the Embassy, shje worked as a consultant on the agro business for Oxfam Quebec in Hanoi.

The aforementioned jobs have led her to engage in assisting the Danish companies in entering the Vietnamese market or doing commercial activities in Vietnam.

Profile:

Ms Hang Thi Thu Le has five years of professional experience as trade and investment advisor. Prior to joining the Embassy of Denmark, she worked for the Korean Trade and Investment Promotion Agency under the Korean Embassy in the position of market researcher and investment consultant. Her thorough knowledge in different sectors and networks with Vietnamese government authorities, associations and Vietnamese business circles have been enriched, constantly broadened and tightened when she worked for the Embassy of Brazil as a trade Officer.

Ms Nguyen Ngoc Kim Cuong, Trade and Investment Advisor (DECO, HCMC)

Ms Nguyen Ngoc Kim Cuong has extended experience in providing corporate services to organization clients, especially 10+ year of experience working for the Government of Canada, developing and maintaining a network of business and governmental contacts. She has assisted her clients in supporting trade events, ministerial visits, business research and development in Vietnam. Moreover, Kim Cuong also usually provides exceptional advisory services regarding life sciences industry with 6+ years of experience.

Prior to joining DECO, she has 10 years of professional experience as Sector Lead in Global Affairs Canada, in which she held responsibilities for Life Sciences Sector, ICT and Agri-Food Sector.

Profile:

Hiep Khuong is a passionate and results-driven maritime professional with a strong foundation in maritime consultancy, project management, and business development. Working in the maritime industry in the past 16 years, Hiep has worked extensively with various stakeholders to grow international maritime initiatives in Vietnam, and in the neighbouring ASEAN countries. In his previous roles at Royal HaskoningDHV and then Moffatt & Nichol, Hiep led and coordinated efforts to shape high-impact port and maritime developments and strategies across Southeast Asia. In these roles, not only did he manage business development for strategic growth but also engaged with diverse stakeholders to deliver tailored, technology-driven solutions for a greener maritime industry.

Noteworthily, Hiep has experienced working in projects with multiple international finance institutes such as the world bank, Asian development bank or the likes, and was involved in several roadmap studies for green ports initiatives in the region. During 2019-2022, he also worked as the Vietnam’s national liaison for the Vietnam-Netherlands Waterborne Partnership initiated by the Vietnamese and Dutch governments to support businesses from both countries to enhance cooperation in the fields of inland waterways, maritime transport, and port development.

With a deep-rooted career in maritime consultancy, business development, and cross-border collaboration, it is within Hiep’s ability, passion and network to support the Danish business interest in the maritime industry in Vietnam.

Ms Linh Khanh Nguyen, Junior Trade & Investment Advisor (Hanoi)

Ms Linh Khanh Nguyen has extensive knowledge in international trade and business, complemented by a distinguished academic record, including a notable achievement in logistics and in-depth research on reducing carbon emissions in the coffee production. Since joining the Embassy of Denmark in Hanoi in 2023 as a Commercial Trainee she has since then joined the team full time as a Junior Trade & Investment Advisor. She has been significant in supporting Danish companies to expand their market presence and investment opportunities. By conducting partner & supplier search, implementing targeted marketing strategies and facilitating trade development by liaison with Vietnamese authorities. Leveraging five years of experience in event management and external affairs in student organizations, Linh specializes in organizing trade promotion activities including seminars, workshops, company visits, and delegations within the Food & Agriculture, Health, and Education sectors.
