Mr Troels Jakobsen, Head of Commercial Section in Vietnam (Hanoi)

Profile:

Mr Troels Jakobsen began his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994 with main responsibility within export credits and as a Danish member of Phare and Tacis programme committees. From 1995 to 1999, he was Trade Attaché in the Embassy of Denmark in Bonn focusing primarily on ICT and the food industry. In the years 1999 to 2004, Troels was Commercial Counsellor in the Danish Consulate General in Los Angeles, where his focus was within ICT and biotech. Main priorities was to help Danish companies enter the US market. Further, he was responsible for Danish participation in CES, game developers conferences, international security conferences and more.
In 2004 to 2008, Troels was the responsible for the activities of the Trade Council of Denmark in Spain and Portugal and managed the team of export advisors at the Embassy of Denmark in Madrid.
After almost ten years abroad, he moved back to Copenhagen to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he, among others, worked with business development of the Trade Council, implementing new IT systems to facilitate knowledge sharing worldwide and was responsible for all resource management in the Trade Council. 
In 2016, he started as the Head of the Trade Department in the embassy of Denmark in Helsinki, in which he helped Danish firm export goods and services to Nordic and Baltic region. As of 2019, Troels is the Commercial Counsellor in Vietnam, Hanoi, he is team leader for the TC Asean Energy, Environment and Water team consisting of advisors in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jarkata, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manilla and Bangkok.

For more than 10 years he has been an external lecturer at Copenhagen Business School at the Department of International Economics, Government and Business.

Ms Tran Thi Tuyet Mai, Head of Danish Economic & Commercial Office (DECO ) and Senior Trade and Investment Advisor (HCMC)

Profile:
Ms Tran Thi Tuyen Mai joined Embassy of Denmark, Economic and Commercial Office in HCMC (DECO) in September 2017 as Head of DECO and Trade and Investment Advisor. With extensive experience and knowledge in both private and public sectors in Vietnam, Mai has engaged in providing services for market entry strategies, industry analysis, opportunity identification and marketing campaigns for a number of Danish companies.
Prior to joining DECO, Mai had been Head of Investment section at UK’s Department for International Trade, British Embassy Vietnam and for many years working in private sector with companies in Telecommunication, Real Estate and Utilities.

Ms Vu Phuong Lan, Trade and Investment Advisor (Hanoi)

Profile:
Lan joined the Commercial section in 2011 after working in a similar position at Embassy of Netherlands in Vietnam for a couple of years. She has actively worked with Danish companies extensively across quite a number of industries. Her focus area of work comprises of supporting and assisting Danish healthcare, garment, oil & gas, logistics and shipping companies in entering as well as expanding their presence in Vietnam. She has developed and maintained a close network to authorities, associations and businesses in these relevant sectors.

Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, Trade and Investment Advisor (Hanoi)

Profile:
Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Hang has over 14 years of practical experience working in the area of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, intellectual property and education which equip her with a deep understanding of the sectors as well as building up a wide network all over the country. Prior to joining the Embassy, shje worked as a consultant on the agro business for Oxfam Quebec in Hanoi.

The aforementioned jobs have led her to engage in assisting the Danish companies in entering the Vietnamese market or doing commercial activities in Vietnam.

Profile:

Ms Hang Thi Thu Le has five years of professional experience as trade and investment advisor. Prior to joining the Embassy of Denmark, she worked for the Korean Trade and Investment Promotion Agency under the Korean Embassy in the position of market researcher and investment consultant. Her thorough knowledge in different sectors and networks with Vietnamese government authorities, associations and Vietnamese business circles have been enriched, constantly broadened and tightened when she worked for the Embassy of Brazil as a trade Officer.

Ms Nguyen Ngoc Kim Cuong, Trade and Investment Advisor (DECO, HCMC)

Profile:
Ms Nguyen Ngoc Kim Cuong has extended experience in providing corporate services to organization clients, especially 10+ year of experience working for the Government of Canada, developing and maintaining a network of business and governmental contacts. She has assisted her clients in supporting trade events, ministerial visits, business research and development in Vietnam. Moreover, Kim Cuong also usually provides exceptional advisory services regarding life sciences industry with 6+ years of experience.

Prior to joining DECO, she has 10 years of professional experience as Sector Lead in Global Affairs Canada, in which she held responsibilities for Life Sciences Sector, ICT and Agri-Food Sector.

Ms Phan TN. K. Tram, Trade and Investment Advisor (DECO, HCMC)

Profile:

Ms Phan TN. K. Tram joined Embassy of Denmark in HCMC (DECO) as Trade and Investment Advisor in September 2022. She has extensive experience in renewable energy with a focus on solar sector projects in Vietnam. She helps Danish companies enter this market by providing services such as market research, partner identification, supplier search, business setup and legal registration.

Prior to joining DECO, she was an Energy Auditing Expert at Energy Conservation Centre for more than three years. She consulted factories and buildings on energy efficiency solutions by conducting site surveys and providing energy audit reports. From 2016 to 2018, she worked as Solar Project Sales Executive at SolarBK JSC., where she was responsible for selling solar system and services to customers. From 2018 to 2021, she was Country Manager at Schletter Solar Technology Co.Ltd., where she helped Schletter enter Vietnam market by building a client network and allocating sales and marketing activities.

Ms Pham A. T. Jennifer, Regional Sustainability Advisor (DECO, HCMC)

Profile:

Ms Pham A. T. Jennifer has worked with sustainability and corporate social responsibility for over eight years ahead of joining DECO and the Embassy of Denmark in 2022. As Regional Sustainability Advisor, she shares her expertise with Danish companies looking to understand and abide by due diligence requirements, particularly those pertaining to sustainability in sourcing and production, throughout Asia. Prior to this, She has worked across a variety of sectors: From the Danish Refugee Council, in which she focused on the removal of mines and explosives; to UNLEASH, where she managed partnerships with 300+ NGOs and start-ups; to Dalberg Media, where, as Senior Consultant, she advised, built and scaled sustainability initiatives for large multinational organizations in the public and private sector. In addition, She also frequently teaches and facilitates innovation workshops, and has so far done so for 600+ people online as well as in physical labs in China, France, Singapore and Greenland.
