How to apply for a visa to Denmark
Visa Applications
The Ministry of Foreign affairs of Denmark has commissioned VFS Global Private Ltd. to operate the Danish Visa Application Centres in Vietnam. All applications for short stay visas (maximum 90 days) or residence permits in Vietnam should be handed in to a Danish Visa Application Centre.
Please note that all documents in Vietnamese for visas cases submitted to VFS must be translated to English and legalized by the relevant local authorities (except for passports).

When submitting the visa application a service fee is to be paid directly to the Visa Application Centre.
Please be aware that the visa case processing for Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands), Lithuania and Iceland, will take place at the Embassy of Denmark in Bangkok. However, for inquiries please refer to the VFS centre where you handed in your application.
The Royal Danish Embassy in Hanoi is therefore no longer able to process Schengen visa applications handed in to VFS in Vietnam. The Danish embassy in Hanoi will not be able answer questions related to the processing time of Schengen visa applications, decisions and or complaints. Such requests should be addressed to VFS or to the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok.
Please note that normal case handling time is 15 days from submission at VFS. Resubmission of additional documents to visa cases should be done to the VFS centers where the application was initially handed in.
Red carpet program
How to apply
In order to apply for enrolment in the Fast Track business visa program you need to obtain the necessary forms.
Please email a request for an agreement form by sending an email to [email protected] stating name of the company or organization you represent and the name of the Danish company or organisation you do business with.
Before applying please read the terms and conditions.
You will receive a return email with the agreement form and a list of documentation required for the Red Carpet application to be processed.
Submitting forms and documents
The agreement form and annexes must be filled in and returned to the embassy along with the supplementary documentation.
Your application can be emailed, sent by post or handed in during normal opening hours at the reception.
When a case is processed
The Embassy will reach a decision within two weeks. A representative from your company or organisation may be called to the Embassy for an interview.
If you are approved to be enrolled in the Red Carpet Program an agreement is signed by both parties and further information regarding visa application procedures is forwarded to you.
If you are not approved you will receive a letter from the embassy informing you of this.
Please note, that this decision does not affect in any way eligibility for applying for and obtaining a Schengen visa following standard visa application procedures.
